Efficiency is of utmost importance when it comes to earning Gil in Final Fantasy XIV. Your aim should be to maximize how much Gil you make per hour.
There are a variety of ways you can do this, such as completing quests, guildleves, killing monsters, running dungeons or using the Duty Finder.
Raiding can also be used as an effective ffxiv gilearner, though this requires dedication and patience. Players can use the Market Board to quickly accumulate wealth.
Farming
Farming in Final Fantasy XIV is one of the classic methods of making money. Players can hunt monsters to hunt them down for loot and Gil (lower level creatures may drop less).
Crafting is another excellent way to gain ffxiv gil, although it requires both time and housing space. When done right, however, crafting can be one of the most profitable means of earning Gil in game. When combined with high-level gear and materia resources it can even prove extremely profitable!
Currency flipping can be an excellent way to quickly accumulate Gil, though it requires in-depth market knowledge and staying abreast with buy/sell prices on your server. Furthermore, newer players may find this method challenging.
Crafting
Arming yourself against enemies requires considerable amounts of Gil, which players can earn through selling items to NPC vendors or through the Market Board.
Players can also use Gil to purchase consumables and gear that boost their stats, such as food providing a 3% EXP buff; Dark Matter for self-repairing equipment repairs without visiting Mender NPCs; and Dyes that change clothing, weapons, and accessories’ color.
Gil can also be obtained by completing Guildleves, fulfilling duties on the Duty Finder and killing enemies in dungeons – but these methods often take too much time for success! For an efficient means of earning Gil, see below.
Quests
Quests may not be as lucrative as crafting, but they still provide an effective means of earning Gil. Enemies sometimes drop items suitable for sale such as Gold Dust. Players can also offer items they no longer require via the Market Board to other players – something which Mining class users could benefit from significantly.
Players can participate in FATEs and Guildleves to quickly accumulate ffxiv gil. These instanced group quests offer ample experience as well as Gil rewards.
Completing Beast Tribe Quests can be extremely lucrative for players. Completion can provide experience, items, Tomestones and Ventures; in addition to increasing player’s reputation in order to unlock unique furnishings, mounts or minions as rewards.
Market Board
The market board provides players with an efficient means of trading equipment and consumables quickly for Gil. While this method may work quickly and easily, players must remember that its intense competition requires them to undercut other players in order to sell their items successfully.
Earning Gil Players can earn f14 gil by completing quests, guildleves, dungeons and duties on the Duty Finder. They may also buy ffxiv gil from merchants or receive it as a reward from mission completions. Monsters occasionally drop Gil as well but often is not worth farming for.
Players use gil to purchase weapons, gear and other necessities for their characters as well as pay for fast travel between Aetherytes in Eorzea. Gil may also be used to cover fast travel fees when fast traveling between Aetherytes.
Disciples
An advanced Disciple of the Land class (Botanist, Miner, Fisher) can help players earn considerable Gil. Pay attention to which gear, weapons or crafting materials are in high demand after major updates; and your Gil earnings could skyrocket!
Players can utilize FFXIV Gil to purchase housing for themselves or Free Company houses as well as furniture and decorations. Teleportation fees must also be paid when fast-travelling across Eorzea to buy equipment, weapons or accessories on the Market Board – although main scenario quests and non-repeatable sidequests provide players with some Gil, they do run out quickly so food buffs are an effective means of earning Gil.
